The Director of Business Development works with the Business Development team to identify, prioritize, and facilitate the best new start and RFP opportunities. Position also partners with the Mergers and Acquisition team to identify, court, and close on philosophically compatible, financially sound acquisitions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.

  • Assists operations in growing or diversifying its host home business portfolio.
  • Identifies resources and implements best host home new start and RFP opportunities across the county, in accordance with the strategic plan.
  • Develops and maintains contact with local host home referral sources. Networks with industry leaders and opinion makers with respect to host home services.
  • Represents company in meeting with potential host home funding sources and acquisitions.
  • Stays abreast of salient policy changes and changes in the host home marketplace.
  • Works in concert with the proposal group and operations to draft competitive responses to host homeRFPs.
  • Works in concert with the M&A group and operations to identify, court, and close on philosophically compatible host home acquisitions, both large and small.
  • Acts as a role model within and outside the Agency.
  • Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize work load.

· Communicates regularly with Chief Development Officer about Department issues.

  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree and five or more years of experience in business development.

Requirements:

Experience as a Healthcare Liaison required for rolEstablishes and maintains relationships with potential referral sources by describing programs and acting as a specialized regional resource for referral sources seeking brain injury rehabilitation supports and services. The successful candidate will have superlative verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact easily with patients, family members and payors regarding rehabilitation planning and admissions process. The candidate will be comfortable in providing education to both individuals and groups and be expected to achieve individual/team admission targets. The position requires an individual who is skilled in the identification of regional industry trends and needs and an has ability to make programmatic recommendations. Experience as a healthcare liaison required.
