The business comprises a comprehensive portfolio in mail & parcel logistics and automation, airport logistics with baggage handling and air cargo, as well as service offerings supporting our customers with maintenance, operation and optimization. Our customers are airports & airlines, courier express parcel providers, the US Postal Service and commercial postal service providers.

Job Description:

Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics  LLC has an opening for Director, Business Development supporting our Courier/Express/Parcel business segment.   Responsibilities:
o Coordinate and collaborate with other businesses and functions to plan and execute global account strategies.
o Partner with the customer to the extent that you are immersed in the operations of the customer and become an expert.
o Leads all aspects of development of strategies for profitable penetration into new or existing market segments.
o Guides business development within assigned key accounts and/or markets.
o Develops sponsorship with key decision makers.
o Leads and drives new program ideas which result in profitable market strategies.
o Leads the development and execution of account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals.   Job Skills:
o Ability to blend "Big Picture" ideas with the ability to execute details necessary to succeed.
o Excellent organizational skills
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
o Advanced user of presentation tools (e.g. MS PowerPoint)
o Must be willing to travel (30%).   Education:
o Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent  

o The ideal candidate should have 10+ years successful experience in related field, with experience in material handling systems, distribution industry and/or express delivery industries preferred. Experience MUST include previous relationship with global customers (Amazon, Wal-Mart, UPS) and should also include marketing to C-level executives.   Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Unites States.
