The Team - Business Development
Our Business Development team is at the center of MorganFranklin’s ambitious growth plans. We are seeking a market-facing professional to cultivate new business in the marketplace and win new clients for the firm. This role reports directly to our Vice President, Business Development and Marketing. In this role, you will work closely with the firm’s executive team and subject matter experts to develop and capture new business and enjoy unlimited earning potential through your success.
Develop and capture new business to achieve sales targets
Identify prospects and leads for new business, qualify opportunities, and manage the execution of sales pursuits
Cultivate relationships with relevant decision makers as well as key influencers and strategic partners in the marketplace
Manage a portfolio of target accounts and drive strategic account targeting program activities
Collaborate effectively with other members of Business Development & Marketing team and client service professionals on a regular basis
Actively lead and/or participate in the entire opportunity nurturing lifecycle, including development of cohesive pursuit strategy, coordination of pursuit team, and creation of sales presentations, proposals and SOWs as necessary.
Qualify, coordinate, and nurture inbound business development leads generated by marketing or other professionals
Update and maintain Salesforce (CRM), including pipeline maintenance, to include detailed documentation of business development activities and support of sales process
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or related field
7+ years of experience utilizing professional relationships with CXOs and other critical senior-level influencers in the Atlanta area to achieve business objectives
Previous experience selling to senior finance and technology executives
Demonstrated ability to generate $2M+ revenue annually
Experience with both selling directly to end-client and through referral channels/centers of influence (i.e. technology partners, complementary professional service providers)
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Strong professional presence and ability to hold meaningful dialogue with senior executives
Experience developing and communicating complex value propositions
Strong desire to collaborate with others internally to deliver robust, integrated solutions
Detail oriented, ability to adapt to changing environment
Energetic, enthusiastic and organized
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management
Ability to work autonomously while being a team player
Demonstrated ability to not only secure new accounts (first sale), but assist in the expansion and development of those accounts for maximum lifetime value
Familiarity with finance, accounting and technology
Experience with Salesforce.com
