The individual filling this role must have leadership and mentoring experience and must have a proven understanding of business development processes and the intricacies of all aspects of pursuits and must have a proven track record of capture & business development success. This person will collaborate closely with the President of the MPS division, be an advisor within a cross functional and matrixed team, and lead the execution of the common BD and capture processes. Must understand and have experience in developing requirements for integrated and distributed maritime power systems, engaging with resources & requirements, acquisition, operational, and internal customers at all levels; minimum 10 years operational experience and 5 years in industry preferred; must be eligible for TS/SCI security clearance, current TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
Specific Responsibilities & Business Development Expertise:
This person shall be responsible for: establishing and monitoring a 1, 3, and 5yr orders forecast & plan; managing B&P resources; managing marketing resources; leading and managing a team of BD professionals and providing mentoring & guidance in the capture of business; in conjunction with division leadership, developing a strategic plan & growth strategy with leadership that is consistent with higher level plans. Will contribute to and maintain cognizance over: Congressional priorities; Sector strategic plan & growth strategy; Orders Pipeline & proposal forecasts; Division gating processes; Division pursuits and opportunities/plans; Proposal development (PTW, baselines, risk & opportunity, teaming, etc). Shall inform and collaborate on external communications and trade show participation.
