Hexcel is currently seeking a Director Business Development – Boeing Programs for our Kent, WA, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Position Hexcel materials and engineered products to maximize content on current and future aircraft
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and communication – intimate knowledge of key programs, timing, applications, technologies, decision-makers
  • Competitor analysis and determine strategic Hexcel positioning/opportunity
  • Supervise direct report (comp, performance planning and reviews)
  • Work closely and effectively with all related team players – R/T, Operations, Sales/Marketing
  • Manage client relationship map – matching of key client/Hexcel executives and coordination of interfaces
  • Submit timely and comprehensive reports and recommendations

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in engineering, materials science or related discipline (MBA is a preferred); 10+ years of aerospace market experience required
  • Minimum of 10 years of Direct Sales or related experience
  • Sound understanding of composite materials preferred
  • Sales leadership experience
  • Established relationships with senior client Supplier Management and Engineering executives preferred
  • Strong communications, interpersonal, planning, organizational, negotiation, business acumen, and decision-making skills
  • Must also possess good financial, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • A track record of proven results and solid career progression
  • Ability to of grow/advance with the business
  • Ability to travel 15%-30% of the time
