The Business Development Alliances Manager will lead alliances with pharma partners and drive Agilent business at the partner by identifying and progressing opportunities to expand the use of Agilent's companion diagnostics products and services. The Alliance Manager will report to the Head of Business Development, Companion Diagnostics (CDx).
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead development stage alliances with pharmaceutical organizations with management support
- Primary point of contact and owner of relationships with assigned organizations
- Ensure performance to agreement standards and constraints
- Enhance partner experience
- Ensure project kickoff to align partner and Agilent based on contract & governance
- Establish and ensure customer service standards
- Participate joint project teams and project governance
- Drive Business
- Understand partner's current and future needs and build relationships to strengthen Agilent position
- Identify & establish new opportunities with current customer
- Pitch CDx capabilities and prepare proposals
- Rapidly field current customer inquiries and assess opportunities for CDx services and retail product
- Coordinate and facilitate scoping, work plan and budget
- Represent and secure Agilent interests at partner with management support
- Manage bids from assigned partners
- Collaborate with BD contracting to efficiently conclude agreements
- Facilitate work plans and budgets for new CDx partnership projects
- Build strong relationships with Legal, IP, Finance, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Project Management at Agilent
- Maintain knowledge of Agilent offerings, CDx technologies & services

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) and/or a PhD/Master's degree in a Life Sciences discipline
- 8+ years of experience required for this role
- Related experience working in consultative/technical marketing and selling role for an IVD or Biopharma services organization
At least 6 years in 2 of the following:
- Working in companion diagnostic/IVD and/or drug development business
- Working in alliance management, business development or a commercial role involving companion diagnostic products/services
- Negotiating contracts that include diagnostic products/services with management support
Other Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills (written, verbal and oral), and effective communication with biopharma partners and CDx management and DGG management
- Strong presentation skills
- Able to lead Agilent and partner (joint), multidisciplinary teams, without supervisory responsibility
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
