Responsibilities

The RetailBanking Operations Officer leads operational activities for RetailBanking Group. This position oversees and implements processes to support retailbanking and operations and establishes appropriate systems for measuring all aspects of operational management to ensure full compliance with industry regulations. This position also supports and maintains a strong relationship with retail staff and management to ensure the delivery of professional customer services to all clients.

– Establishes first-line contact with internal Auditors while ensuring delivery and accuracy of data for all audits
– Develops business scenarios, requirements, and facilitates successful launch of new products, services, and program changes
– Develops, implements, and maintains all operating policies and procedures related to retail bank operations
– Analyzes processes and implements ways to drive down errors and improves time to market for new offerings
– Understands, identifies, and drives resolutions on issues and effectively escalates where appropriate
– Establishes success metrics and measures and manages to constant improvement
– Effectively leads and manages cross-functional “virtual” teams through the solution development and implementation process
– Establishes first-line contact with internal Auditors while ensuring delivery and accuracy of data for all audits and responds to internal/external audit inquiries in a timely manner
– Acts as liaison to the Information Technology department for all operational system releases and updates to the core data processing systems
– Acts as liaison to Internal Audit, loan review, and Enterprise Risk Management
– Communicates effectively with all levels of executive management and key stakeholders (both internal and external)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
– BS/BA degree or MBA preferred
– 7 to 10 years management experience in an operational risk management environment
– 5+ years in retail banking environment
– Ability to identify, work with, and influence key stakeholders to effect change in business practices
– Able to analyze processes, systems, resources and policies / procedures to identify operational control deficiencies, complete root cause analysis, develop solutions, drive implementation of solutions and measure / validate the effectiveness of the implemented solution
– Ability to prepare analysis and documentation for executives and business unit managers that reflects risk materiality and solutions
– Six Sigma certification strongly preferred
