The Director of Biophysical Characterization in the Preformulation Department is responsible for leading a team of scientists to drive the pipeline deliverables and innovation goals for biophysical characterization of large molecules. Preformulation is focused on generating fundamental understanding of formulation and product stability. The Director and team are accountable for the development and application of biochemical and biophysical characterization methods (e.g., DSC, CD, FT-IR, MFI, and AUC) with a goal to understand mechanistic drivers for stability in addition to developing/enabling extended characterization strategies for stability and comparability studies. The successful Director will guide the team to design appropriate experiments using these methods to enable rapid decision making and inform formulation design and process/product development and stability. This position is located in Kenilworth, NJ.
