Director/Administrator-Registered Nurse The Director/Administrator will provide leadership to create an atmosphere that provides continuity of quality patient care in the emergent hospital environment. This is achieved by providing clear direction and expectations to the clinical and office staff regarding the functional areas in which they work. Ensures all aspects of the hospitals are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and compliance with licensing and accreditation standards. Directs and supervises staff as well as workflow. Position has budgetary or fiscal accountability. Responsible 24 hours a day for the ongoing effective operation of the facility exerting a leadership role which supports the organization’s mission, vision, goals and objectives, while focusing on the patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and the community as customers. Ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination and integration of the department services and standards of care into the hospital’s primary function. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluations, approving supply orders and facility strategic planning.

  • Responsible for Budget preparation and adherence based on volume
  • Responsible for Supply Chain Management for Department needs
  • Monitor productivity/cost per unit of service on a regular basis to meet established budgetary guidelines. As necessary establish and implement action when variances occur
  • Plan work assignments and resource allocation with full consideration of timeliness and financial impact
  • Ensures charges are captured appropriately, ensures revenue cycle partners comply with all established policies, procedures and protocol in regard to the patient process, collections and customer service
  • Support organization strategies to increase volumes
  • Mentors and develops staff
  • Execute organizations’ s employee onboarding and performance management processes
  • Hires, terminates, trains, evaluates performance and supervises staff to provide professional, courteous and timely services
  • Review turnover trends and develop action plans to address unanticipated variances
  • Promotes employee engagement thru staff participation in department operations and activities as measured thru employee engagement tools
  • Appropriately manages staff to ensure compliance with applicable standards, adheres to organization’s policies and procedures, including standards of behavior and safety guidelines
  • Enhances communication between various levels of staff, department and customers to promote an caring and respectful work environment


Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required Master’s degree in Nursing 3+ years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, including at least 5 years nursing experience. Current state licensure as Registered Nurse. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from America Heart Association Knowledge of TJC standards. Excellent oral and written communication skills
