Job Summary
The Director for Agile Portfolio Management role influences the delivery of the product and technology programs in the IXT Organization. In this role you will be a strategic partner to one of the domain with accountability for the delivery and agile capabilities within your aligned domain.

Core Responsibilities
  • The leader will provide strategic/tactical leadership and oversight for crafting, sustaining, implementing, and driving efficient and effective project/portfolio management in support of business objectives.
  • Closely partnering with the Product Owner(s), and key business customers to guide the delivery.
  • Providing leadership and taking overall accountability for successful execution of quarterly deliverables using Agile methodology.
  • The position requires collaboration across other technology portfolios, and excellent communication and relationship management skills to influence and resolve issues.
  • Leads senior executive readouts about program status, changes, escalations.
  • Serve as an escalation for impediment removal for the Scrum Masters and agile teams.
  • Leads a high performing global team of Scum Masters, Project Managers, Program Managers with the required leadership, influence and analytical skills. Implements' strategies to attract, retain, empower and develop talent in their organization.
  • Key contributor to the Agile Center of Excellence, which functions as a community of practice to facilitate collaboration and standard methodology sharing while mentoring different agile roles.
  • Serving as a SME for Agile methodologies, defining consistent delivery metrics, dashboards and/or information to enable effective decision-making.
  • Fosters a business-oriented culture and approach driven by continuous improvement techniques.
  • Strong facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and influence individuals and teams towards Agile ways of working.
  • Works with other organizations to continuously improve business processes.
  • Strong skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches/techniques: XP, Kanban, SAFe, TDD/BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Agile Games.
  • Knowledge of Jira, Rally, Confluence, Tableau, Smartsheet.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in project management methodologies, agile practices, best practices and industry standards.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Ability to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as vital.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
