Directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for a hospital's pharmacy services. Maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improveprocesses and promote effectivedrug therapy. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensiveexperience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A widedegree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typicallyreports to top management.
Education:Graduated of accredited Pharmacy degree program (specialty education in Business, Health Administration, Public Health preferred).
Experience:Minimum of five years clinical pharmacy experience required; two years of management/supervisory experience minimum.
Licenses/Certificates:Current West Virginia Pharmacy license required; ASHP-accredited Residency or fellowship preferred.
