Department Marketing Statement

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 70-bed unit designed for the individualized care of critically ill newborns and their families from admission to discharge. These infants are admitted from a diverse geographical area for specialized medical and/ or surgical needs. These infants and families are cared for by a unique blend of interdisciplinary caregivers: neonatal nurses, neonatal nurse practitioners, lactation consultants, human milk technicians, physicians, OT/PT and speech therapists, respiratory care practitioners, social workers, pharmacists, dieticians and internal case managers.

Job Description

Provides operational, quality, and service leadership for clinical services across the System for the service line. Maintains primary accountability for day to day financial and operational oversight of the inpatient and ambulatory units under their service line responsibilities. Works in partnership with the Executive Director, Section Chief, Medical directors, service line administrators and other administrative, operational and physician leaders to oversee and integrate the service line programs within and across care inpatient and outpatient delivery sites. Proactively implements efforts to ensure safe, high quality, accessible and seamless care across the service line. Maintains a talent management system that attracts, retains and develops clinical staff and leaders within the service line. Works as a leader and peer within the matrix of the organization and service line to achieve goals and objectives.

  • Requires an RN with current license to practice nursing in Wisconsin.
  • Master's Degree preferred; with a concentration in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field.
  • Consideration will be given to candidates who will complete the master's degree within 5 years.
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Clinical background in service line specialty preferred.
  • Academic pediatric healthcare experience desired.
