Job DescriptionJob purpose: To provide strategic consultative services to People Business Partners and business leaders throughout the Region regarding reward and recognition programs to meet business objectives. To educate, coach and support People Business Partners in implementing global and local reward and recognition programs in their area of responsibility. Key ResponsibilitiesKey accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Responsible for project planning and management of Region/Country-specific compensation related projects, overseeing the work of external compensation consultants where required, directing the development of communications materials, determining program implementation requirements and working with the Reward Team Leader in People Services to define compensation processes for the Country/Region.
• Contributes to the development and continuous improvement of Sage-wide programs by providing local insights and priorities. Leads the design and development of specific reward and recognition programs on behalf of the Group.
• Proactively partners on compensation projects and programs with Region and Country People Business Partners, business managers, Finance, Legal, Compliance, People Services and Group Reward & Recognition.
• Supports the Region/Country People Business Partners to ensure global compensation projects are successfully and properly implemented in the Region.
• Advises on compensation survey participation and uses survey data analysis in the Region to drive market competitive assessments.
• Works closely with the Region and Country People Business Partners to identify and manage reward issues related to recruitment/retention/development of talent and any regulatory matters related to employee compensation.
• Maintains subject matter expertise on existing and proposed statutory compensation requirements and recommends appropriate course of action to both local and global People function colleagues.
• Educates business leaders and People function colleagues on compensation topics and concerns specific to the Region. Skills, know-how and experience:
Must have:
• A strong background in international compensation, with an emphasis in the relevant Region, and solid understanding of relevant legislation and regulations in the countries covered.
• Experience in managing projects, defining processes and implementing reward and recognition programs.
• Proven expertise in design and development of reward and recognition programs.
• Demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships with individual stakeholders and groups at senior level and become a trusted and credible working partner, educating and influencing business leaders.
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Expert at managing multiple stakeholders and projects, navigating across functional disciplines.
• Proven ability to operate in a matrixed business environment and within a People shared services model.
• Excellent strategic, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills.
• Strong coaching skills and ability to translate reward and recognition concepts into practical, easy-to-use tools for colleagues.
• Proficiency in English language, with strong verbal and written skills.

• Demonstrated commitment to learning through continuous educational development.
Technical / professional qualifications:
• Bachelors / Masters degree
• Functional qualification / membership of associated professional body (e.g. CIPD or equivalent)

Key performance indicators:
• Effective delivery of the People strategy, plan and service to meet the needs of business leaders and colleagues
• Effective implementation of Group/Local reward and recognition policies and practices within the Region.
