Provides operational direction and oversight for the Aurora Health Care - 84 South ambulatory surgery center. Ensures quality, regulatory, accreditation, compliance and competency standards are met in collaboration with the matrix organizations.
Ensures efficient operations of ambulatory programs through direct oversight of department leaders. Holds leaders accountable to be fiscally responsible and to meet productivity standards in resource utilization, staffing patterns and operational efficiency.
Designs and implements programs and services that optimize best practices that align with Aurora's initiatives. Participates in quality assurance initiatives that increase Aurora's market advantage.
In conjunction with the Medical Directors and service lines, develops the strategic business plan for areas of responsibility in collaboration with other clinical departments and program leaders, physicians marketing and finance.
Assesses services and programs to ensure they meet and exceed established care, quality and state/federal regulatory standards. In collaboration with Aurora's Compliance department, ensures compliance with government regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies, as well as state and federal codes and compliance.
Plans and implements timely communication plans with both internal and external customers to keep them abreast of changes in an effort to promote engagement and retention including facilitating problem identification and resolution through ongoing dialogue with management and administrative staff.
Develops, implements, and enforces consistent policies, processes and procedures.
In conjunction with Enterprise Business Group participates in growth planning by ensuring products or services offered meets the needs of the customer as well as identifying opportunities for program expansion or additional program development related to the site.
Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
Responsible for understanding and adhering to the Aurora Health Care Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to Aurora's business.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, or
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
Typically requires 7years of experience in managing, developing and coordinating the operations of a large ambulatory surgical center and outpatient services or related business. Includes 3years of management experience in an outpatient department.

Knowledge of trends and developments related to product lines and product development.
Adept at managing multiple priorities, process improvement initiatives, problem solving, decision making, prioritization, project management and conflict resolution.
Ability to access and understand the guidelines and requirements of applicable regulatory agencies.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Exposed to a normal office environment.
May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
