We are seeking an experienced social and digital media manager to take our social and paid digital advertising to the next level. In addition to managing the “factory” (external agency) that produces hundreds of paid and organic social and paid digital ads, we are looking for someone who will cultivate social media platform knowledge and relationships and push our agencies to give us “Big Ideas” that give us a competitive advantage. We want someone who thrives under the pressure of meeting deadlines to support retail selling periods and is driven to be first to market with new ad units and strategies that optimize and beat our KPIs, especially conversion and return on ad spend. Ability to drive creative development and maintain a consistent brand voice and elevated look and feel across channels is important.Develop our Organic Social media strategy playbook with our agency and Manage the Social Channel Account Manager who posts creative developed for us by our agencies for our owned social media channels - Facebook/Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter. This Manager must ensure we keep a complex calendar of creative refreshed every week. This role requires researching and understanding best practices in organic social posting on each platform and continuing to evolve our strategy and creative units to maximize engagement and attrack new followers. Supporting vendor brand partners and our own brand’s live, video shopping events is a part of this important role.
Manage the Social Community Manager and ensure our platforms are well monitored and customers are responded to in a timely and satisfactory manner. This involves having the manager run analytics on our social posts and report back with insights to help us optimize our creative to grow our followers and engagement. It also means recognizing and acting quickly to minimize adverse situations to avoid brand crisis by working closely with Customer Care for remediation.
Assist the Director of Content Strategy in the management of our external agency partners in the development of optimal paid social and digital display creative called for in our paid media buys. It does not require media buying experience but familiarity with social media buying terms and process helps. This role is focused on working with our internal media buying team, our external media buying agency and a creative agency to produce creative. We produce hundreds of ad units every seasonal selling season and this role must open the jobs, review and provide feedback on creative and ensure creative is routed and revised according to comments from merchants and legal teams. This role also need to be able help ensure our creative keeps our brand looking elevated while having built in best practices by social platform to maximize website and store visits and conversions.
Manage the creation of assets to post on our Employee Social portal to arm our employees with creative to post their personal social accounts and act as a brand ambassador. This role assists with maintaining relationships between the creative agency and store operations (jewelry consultants) and to the supply field team members with social creative selling assets they are proud to use (so they don’t try to create their own)
Develop a performance dashboard to track our performance in organic social, work with Corporate Communications to track usage of employee social assets and work with our paid media buying partners and agency to track key performance metrics and gain insights to help us continually improve the performance of our creative.
Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.
Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job.
Education Required: Undergraduate degree
Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Social and digital media strategist, in a retail company or with an agency that serves retail company clients with social and digital display planning and creative development.
Years of Job-Related Experience Required: 7-10+ years
Technical/Other Skills Required: Sprinklr or other social platform media posting and monitoring software and Microsoft Office is essential; DAM utilization experience and data visualization (Tableau) software experience is a plus
