Job Description

The Digital Media Optimization Data Analyst’s role is to create meaningful and actionable information from a plethora of data sources.  Working across multiple functional teams and stakeholders, this position serves as a measurement consultant onsite with the client, helping generate reports and insights in the digital media space.  Additional responsibilities include working within the client’s business management and visualization platform; procuring, integrating and managing new and existing data sources; providing technical and informational support; creating customized platform functionality; validating and auditing external and internal data, as well as monitoring the quality and performance of incoming data sources and platforms.


Job Overview

This role plays an integral role in learning and understanding new analysis and optimization platforms offered internally and by multiple third-party vendors.  This individual will develop operational and process efficiencies in utilizing these platforms, with the goal of allowing key stakeholders to make real-time, informed decisions based on data generated within.

Job Expectations

The Digital Media Optimization Data Analyst is expected to:  

  • Connect a variety of data sources and platforms to integrate into and communicate with the client's internal visualization platform
  • Connect a avarIntegrate data between systems to ensure successful flow
  • Create dashboards within the data visualization platform
  • Generate filters, customize data modeling, and validate data shown within the platform
  • Look at impressions by supplier within media channels
  • Run ad hoc analyses and analyze raw data based on KPIs as defined by business segment or stakeholder

The Digital Media Optimization Data Analyst is expected to:

  • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationship with key Client contacts
  • Possess in-depth understanding of Client’s business objectives
  • Ability to understand and identify opportunities for continued growth
  • Develop and manage project timelines and task lists
  • Actively participate in high-level meetings with Client’s leadership team
  • Identify process challenges and work with Ivie leadership to solve
  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Display positivity in all engagements with others (at all levels), to demonstrate Ivie culture and ideals
  • Evaluate and monitor the quality and performance of all projects under scope of responsibility
  • Attend regular planning meetings and provide detailed written confirmation/report
  • Adhere to established processes and procedures to insure timely and accurate delivery of Client’s services
  • Keep Ivie Management informed regularly of Client’s status
  • Communicate regularly with all Ivie Service Departments to insure delivery of timely, high-quality services to the Client
  • Assist in developing presentations for prospective Clients
  • Ability to form strong relationships with key Client contacts and Ivie internal team
  • Ability to understand and manage the execution of tasks to achieve Client’s marketing goals
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically to meet Client’s needs, to improve current services or to deliver new services
  • Ability to analyze and judge prospective projects, jobs and services for presentation to the Client
  • Show good communication skills, verbally, non-verbally, and in writing
  • Travel as designated by Ivie Leadership



Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 4-year college degree
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • 3+ years experience in Data Analysis, Data Management, Prioritization
  • Background/experience in Technology, Information Management, Statistics, Data Mining and/or Database Management helpful


System Skills Required

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in SQL-based business analytics and intelligence platforms (SAS, SPSS, R, etc.)
  • Programing languages (XML, JavaScript)
  • Data modeling
  • Data queries
  • Data visualization and visualization platforms (Domo, Tableau, etc.)
  • Data Integration and management
    • API’s
    • SFTP’s


 Web Development Skills Preferred

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Proficient understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS and D3.js
  • Proficient understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
