Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads the team that maintains, expands, and coordinates Sirius' digital presence in social media and websites (siriuscom.com, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, blog, etc.)
  • Leads, mentors, coaches, and develops a small digital marketing team, as well as manages several vendor relationships
  • Develops and implements a digital marketing strategy, integrating with website/SEO strategy and marketing automation strategy
  • Manages and supervises the team in their creation and development of digital assets and interactive resources
  • Works with other members of the Communications department to develop, maintain and implement a digital content strategy in support of key demand generation initiatives, positioning, and solutions
  • Manages Sirius' online social network and executes on an engagement strategy. Runs engagement program and followers acquisition campaigns on LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Works with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop digital marketing strategies (email campaigns, paid social campaigns, etc.).
  • Leads a continued SEO campaign, to include a strategy for all Sirius sites, Sirius presence on partner sites and social sites, content sharing, content tagging, and other tactics
  • Establishes digital engagement metrics: uses Web/social network data and tracking systems to compile online engagement reports and monitor success in online presence, research and message testing
  • Leads the work of Web creative staff, contractors, and outsourced vendors
  • Keeps up with emerging social and digital marketing trends and technologies
  • Interfaces with IT and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementations
  • Ensures digital marketing efforts are aligned with business and marketing objectives
  • Performs due diligence on all requested digital marketing campaigns, by researching the activity, reviewing resource requirements within the team, and making recommendations to the Director, Digital Marketing & Communications
  • Ensures recommendations are based on resource capacity, budget requirements, return on investment, and promoting positive business relationships with the public, vendors, clients and prospects
  • Ensures funding and programmatic compliance requirements are met for all digital marketing efforts
  • Hires, trains, develops, and appraises staff effectively, taking corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • At least five (5) years experience in B2B (business to business) digital marketing, to include:
  • At least three (3) years experience in website and SEO management

  • At least five (5) years experience managing people; can be concurrent with B2B digital marketing experience

  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated project management, organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to apply logical and data-focused thinking to projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of publishing, design and digital assets
  • Demonstrated HTML knowledge and/or prior web development experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply various technical product information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of WordPress, Joomla and Drupal
  • Knowledge of Marketing Automation tools
