Responsibilities / Job Description:

The Manager, Digital Marketing role is responsible for managing the overall development and implementation of digital marketing programs. This role's primary responsibility is to ensure that digital marketing campaigns are effectively managed across all digitalchannels. From a day to day perspective, this role works as the interface between our digital agency partners and internal teams to manage critical aspects of digital programs including strategy setting, creative development approvals, and coordination of analytics results to ensure campaign effectiveness. In addition to digital program oversight, this role will be responsible for management of digital marketing campaign automation and development primarily focused on email and SMS communications.

  • Manage team-wide campaigns from the planning phase through deliverables coordination, execution, communication, and results tracking.
  • Work with internal and external teams to develop strategies to optimize the conversion of all marketing channels, including A/B testing tactics.
  • Manage growth and optimization of digital programs aimed at driving awareness and generating website traffic that ultimately converts into sales. Channels will include but not be limited to email, paid advertising, content marketing, and social media.
  • Partner with marketing management and project managers to establish and manage the budget for digital agency partners. Understand the drivers of budget variance and be able to explain and/or present to a senior audience.
  • Influence, inform, and engage cross functional teams within a large organization. Provide strategic guidance across digital programs and projects as it relates to consideration of the overarching customer experience.
  • Partner with key individuals in the Marketing Department to develop and maintain a backlog for all Marketing initiatives, including business plans with both ROI assessments and qualitative value assessments.
  • Develop materials and occasionally participate in executive meetings, presenting current status of external agency work. Effectively communicate successes, challenges, timelines and future needs for project implementations and/or any related business process re-engineering.
  • Manage digital marketing calendar to coordinate dates and priorities across all digitalchannels and initiatives. Ensure program details are effectively communicated to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Manage the internal review process for creative development by our external agency partners. Ensure that all digital content has approvals from the required stakeholders, including but not limited to marketing leadership, legal/compliance, and our clubs.
  • Work with internal and external teams on all aspects of email campaign management including: audience selection, creative development, campaign testing, deployment, and delivery auditing.
  • Grow the email channel through the development and management of new marketing strategies and tactics including automation, personalization, and A/B testing. Identify areas that need to be optimized to improve click through, leads, sales, and conversion.
  • Work with internal and external teams on all aspects of email campaign management including: audience selection, creative development, campaign testing, deployment, and delivery auditing.
  • Manage day to day vendor relationships required to support email marketing and digital marketing database environment.
  • Evaluate new email approaches, competitive benchmarking, best practices, new technology, and Adobe platform capabilities to identify opportunities to improve email relevance, customer engagement, and sales.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including digital marketing, creative services, marketing analytics, and marketing operations to develop and document email marketing programs and project plans.
  • Manage, organize and archive documentation for all campaigns. Monitor activity and results against plan and provide ongoing support by channel, product and market.
  • Partner closely with IT Development team to troubleshoot technical issues and design, build, and implement new functionality that enables continued growth of email programs.
  • Stay current on Digital Marketing best practices, industry standards and CAN-SPAM compliance. Apply them to the execution of campaigns. Seek process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

Skills

  • Experience with Adobe Campaign for email campaign execution.
  • Must be proficient in successfully motivating teams and implementing complex solutions in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Solid understanding digital marketing concepts and implementations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, persuasive in presenting complex data and concepts to groups. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Advanced analytical thinking, problem solving, and organizational and time management skills.
  • Exhibit personal accountability, self-motivation, enthusiasm, and positive attitude while performing as a team player.
  • Experience in Financial Services preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile team environment preferred.
  • Working understanding of HTML best practices for email campaign development preferred.
  • Experience in Project Management preferred.

$80K
$80K base, Comprehensive Benefit Plan bonus
