Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for delivering strategic direction across BMO digital properties. They will deliver the Canadian digital customer experience and improve conversion rates/customer retention, while contributing to maximizing revenue across business divisions. By leveraging analytics to identify high-impact opportunities, this role will also be responsible for optimizing the current website journeys for customers. This individual must be a strong leader with the ability to be strategic, comfortable working with senior leaders from across the organization, but also be able to get their hands into the day to day execution.

Digital Strategy and Campaign Management (40%)

  • Strategic expert on delivering digitalcampaigns and builds across BMO public facing sites
  • Increase digital conversion rates
  • Assess digitalcampaigns to identify and recommend the best strategy based on analysis of buying trends, site analysis and digital marketing results
  • Conduct site testing and personalization initiatives with the Personalization and Analytics teams
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of a business group’s digitalbusiness model and customer goals in order to oversee the creation of an effective ongoing strategy designed to drive positive ROI
  • Work with internal partners to ensure campaigns are designed to meet acquisition or retention objectives, and to ensure effective campaign performance measurements are in place
  • Identify optimization opportunities through the interpretation of customer insights
  • Working directly with our implementation team and agencies to ensure projects are executed according to requirements and meeting timelines

Relationship Management (40%)

  • Cultivate and develop relationships with marketing and product teams to understand overall business objectives, identify opportunities and understand how digital goals can be achieved
  • Collaborate with partners to develop clear business and measurement objectives.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and insights. Ability to assess the business value of emerging trends
  • Leadership skills to help guide and mentor other team members

Risk Management and Control (10%)

  • Develop, implement and maintain methodologies to evaluate effectiveness of digital programs, and make changes as quickly as possible to resolve issues
  • Recognize new standards and partner with online and enterprise services team to update them as needed
  • Understand requirements and monitor overall compliance to all online policies, procedures, and brand guidelines for any/all online properties within the BMO Financial Groups of websites, identifying areas of concern to be actioned or escalating as needed

Change and Innovation (10%)

  • Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to improve the digital customer experience and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the channel.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree is a must. MBA would be an asset
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing and delivery
  • Strong knowledge of web development, information design, digital marketing communications development and implementation; including online advertising and promotion, email and search marketing
  • Strong knowledge of digital creative campaign optimization
  • Excellent ability to analyze data trends and action key learnings
  • In-depth knowledge of internet, online user experience, eCommerce and web-based technology
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the digital and mobile space
  • Strong knowledge of email and social campaign optimization
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of SEM/SEO, digital sales funnels, and conversion optimization
  • Knowledge of the financial industry would be an asset but not required
  • Experience working with Adobe Marketing Cloud and Adobe Analytics would be an important asset but not required
