In the Marketing Automation & Web Operations Expert role, you will be expected to:

• Become the internal expert on implementing Marketo campaigns, and help identify ways to scale capacity and speed either in-house or via external support

• Develop processes to capture the content in the exact formats that you need to upload to Marketo, making allowances that some of the editing will still need to be performed manually

• Have the ability to explain and liaise with other parts of marketing and sales on how the platform can support their roles (e.g. Marketing lead gen and ROI tracking, sales for sales and prospect intelligence, content marketing for journey design and nurture campaigns)

• Educate stakeholders and other relevant teams on how to take advantage of new Marketo campaign formats when developing content; provide insight on what kind of content will work best in these new formats

• Work with marketing, integration, and data technologies to design and implement new customer experience strategies and solutions for clients

• Ensure overall success of marketing technology implementations, focusing on the client relationship, financials, project delivery, resourcing, and overall program health

• Identify and pursue follow-on project opportunities

• Plan and estimate delivery work, focusing on project milestones, resource planning (both on-shore and off-shore), scope, and budget

• Manage business requirements and project ideation

• Manage and contribute to solution plan definition

• Identify, manage, and track key dependencies, issues, and risks

• Contribute to the business development process by participating in sales calls, assist/lead proposal development efforts and delivering client presentations

• Contribute to the ongoing development of solution/program offering approaches, methodologies, techniques, and business development tools

**Reporting to the AVP of Digital Marketing & Web Operations. This is an individual contributor role with a significant campaign production responsibility. The role comes with it an opportunity to scale and build out role to leadership goals and with direct reports.

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in inbound and demand generation marketing using the Marketo marketing automation platform and CRM
  • A comprehensive understanding of the industry's best practices for marketing automation and demand generation.
  • Excellent understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics such as deliverability and sender reputation.
  • Know how to segment the customer database to create targeted messages.
  • Understand how all aspects of the marketing program, from opt-in and message content and design to delivery and list management, affect email deliverability.
  • Be able to identify and correct problems which have a negative impact on deliverability.
  • Strong design sense is a plus!
  • Comfortable with HTML and CSS, ability to troubleshot coding problems
  • Experience with Marketo required
  • CRM experience required, experience with Salesforce a plus
