Reporting to the Digital Learning Development Manager, the Digital Learning Developer II partners with Learning & Development Specialists/Learning Partners, subject matter experts, graphic artists, and technical writers to produce digital learning.

The Digital Learning Developer II will design and develop innovative and engaging eLearning/online training courses and other learning interactions using a working knowledge of instructional design in combination with software from the Adobe Creative Suite.

This role influences design across their team by working with Learning & Development Specialists (LDS)/Learning Partners (LP) and building tools/templates for other developers. The role is an individual contributor.


  • · Develops high-quality online, virtual, and paper-based materials
  • · Creates interactive experiences, simulations and tests to enhance the learning experience
  • · Designs graphics, illustrations and other visuals to represent complex content, facts, processes and procedures
  • · Designs templates for learning materials
  • · Partners with colleagues and key stakeholders to understand project requirements and desired outcome
  • · Works with LDS/LP on training design
  • · Uses personal experiences and internal partners to make decisions and recommendations around presentation, layout, display, treatments, etc.
  • · Follows usability and functionality standards
  • · Follows established procedures to upload content to the LMS
  • · Provides input on team standards and processes
  • · Designs and creates multimedia material (such as video, audio and interactive presentations) for websites and company Intranet
  • · Uses various video cameras and other equipment to produce multimedia files
  • · Acts as lead Multimedia Designer on large scale projects with several resources
  • · Mentors Multimedia Designers
  • · Reviews Multimedia Designers work to ensure that it meets team quality and standards
  • · Consistently keeps projects on time and as defined with little interaction from management
  • · Researches and evaluates new and emerging technologies and approaches for potential application within Chase/projects

  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in designing and developing web, print, video, audio, graphic and multimedia deliverables
  • Experience in adult learning and Web-based instruction design methods is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to work effectively on multiple projects in a fast moving, deadline and project driven environment
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of high performance teams
  • Knowledge of LMS, course publishing, SCORM, and AICC
  • Intermediate proficiency in four or more, or expert proficiency in two or more of the latest version of the following software:
    • Adobe Flash Professional
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Adobe InDesign
    • Adobe Illustrator
    • Adobe Captivate
    • Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Adobe After Effects
    • Articulate Storyline
  • Intermediate skill in two or more, or expert skill level in one or more of the following at the direction of the business:
    • HTML/web design
    • Mobile app design
    • Graphic design/Print layout
    • Photography
    • Illustration/Animation
    • Video production and editing
    • Coding for the web with ActionScript, JavaScript, or other languages
