We partner with regional teams throughout the organization to deliver a superior digitalexperience to our diagnostics customers, across all of our digital platforms and communication channels. A key part of the Digital Channels team, the Digital Content Specialist will support the Manager of Digital Content and Editorial in optimizing content for internal and external search and ensuring content is free of errors. 

Responsibilities: 

Website content development 

? Review and apply tags and metadata to online assets to ensure visibility within onsite search 

? Create and edit content modules and web pages using a structured content management system. Proof web pages and other content entities prior to publication to ensure quality 

? Use SEO best practices and guidelines to identify opportunities and edit or write content to surface relevant content within website and/or grow organic external search traffic 

Content re-purposing 

? Adapt existing print collateral for digital/online channels, such as web pages, reusable copy blocks, landing pages, blog posts, etc. 

? Extract relevant information from Beckman Coulter publications and compose succinct calls-to-action for online newsletters and similar content digests, as well as PPC advertising 

Production support 

? Follow defined work processes and manage tasks within project workflow tools. Track and report status accurately 

? Deliver tasks on time to maintain production schedules 

? Collaborate with extended team members to ensure success of digital marketing initiatives 

Copy editing and writing 

? Copy edit content across digital marketing channels: Beckman Coulter Diagnostics website (web pages, reusable copy blocks, promotional banners, asset metadata), promotional emails, landing pages, newsletters, social media posts, etc. 

? Use supplemental reviewing tools such as creative briefs, style guides, checklists and more to guide and inform recommended and required edits 

? Communicate edits and queries to content stakeholders clearly and succinctly via Microsoft Word, email, collaboration tools and in person 

? Write and revise content based on feedback from content stakeholders, including project initiators, senior marketing leaders and regulatory reviewers 

Qualifications: 

?Bachelor?s Degree in Journalism, English, Communications or similar discipline. Related coursework or background in science (biology, chemistry, etc.) a plus 

? 2+ years of experience in any combination of technical copywriting, technical copy editing, writing for SEO, keyword research, website taxonomy implementation/classification, proofreading or related work, preferably in clinical diagnostics, healthcare or other B2B industry, preferably in a regulated environment 

? Superior attention to detail and a relentless desire to find and fix flaws 

? Strong understanding of SEO/SEM and its impact on organic and paid search acquisition 

?Experience working with online content management systems; knowledge of HTML, CSS and other coding languages a plus 

?Experience developing content specifically for digital consumption; familiarity with digital marketing channels 

? Impeccable command of the written word, including spelling, vocabulary and grammar 

? Working knowledge of AP Stylebook or experience working with another stylebook, such as Chicago or AMA 

?Experience tailoring the same content for different personas 

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); Office360 and OneDrive proficiency a plus 

? Proven ability to manage high volumes of work to meet aggressive deadlines 

? Demonstrated ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams 

? Excellent communication skills.
