KRDO NewsChannel 13, Where the News Comes First® located in beautiful Southern Colorado, has an immediate opening for a Digital Content Director. The ideal candidate will be a strong self-motivator with an eye for detail, a passion for breaking news and a creative flair.

Responsibilities include overseeing and leading our day-to-day news, content and development operations of the station's website and social media platforms.

The Digital Content Director (DCD) is also responsible for working with the News Director, the General Sales Manager and the NPG Director of Digital News to co-develop and manage news content and sales opportunities as well as administering policies and procedures, be able to produce/supervise online content, social media, operations and find and add links to related stories and Web sites.

The DCD is able to write, rewrite, produce and publish news, interactive content and train news staff, assist in development of additional content for digitalchannels, facilitate and lead a culture of Digital-first publishing of all news content and monitor daily news flow tracking scheduled news events to ensure proper coverage.

We require a BS/BA Degree preferably in Journalism or Communications. The candidate must have strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of audience needs and expectations.

Must possess Knowledge of general productivity software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point), basic knowledge of HTML and experience with Internet Broadcasting CMS platform. Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet or beat assigned deadlines, to interact promptly, productively and positively with fellow employees and all levels of management, including managers in remote locations. The DCD must possess excellent verbal, written and analytical skills, with strong motivation and work ethic.
