I. Job Summary
Acts as a liaison between the Technology and the business of new systems and enhancement of existing systems. The candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, business process analysis, assessing its feasibility and end-to-end cross-functional leadership throughout the software development lifecycle. The candidate is also required to do assessments and preliminary cost/benefit analysis in an effort to align technology solutions with business initiatives. II. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other ancillary duties may be assigned.
Collaborate with the business and IT counterparts to create and validate business requirements.
Create project specification documents such as process flow diagrams, capability maps, business requirements documents etc.
Responsible for management and documentation of complex multi-disciplined projects.
Leads and facilitates discovery and scoping sessions with stakeholders and document all key business requirements.
Articulate to business stakeholders the value of recommended solutions and approach.
Participate in QA checkpoints during delivery to provide guidance and ensure solution aligns with original scope
Responsible for ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business, ensuring that proper testing is implemented
Conduct Product Demo to various levels in the organization as needed
Works with vendors and employees in a distributed Onshore/Offshore model
Coordinates with Technical Architects, Technical leads, integration, and data consultants, and others, as needed, for specific technical design requirements.
Assist with integration testing and user acceptance testing
Provides sound recommendations on third-party applications, new tools and technologies.
Manages expectations with business and IT stakeholders - i.e., be the voice of common sense.
Candidate must have superior communication skills, command of Agile methodology, ability to present/communicate to Sr. Management and Leadership
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
May coach and mentor less-experienced analysts and act as team leader on systems projects.
IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Education: Required Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years’ relevant experience.
Experience: Required 5+ years of experience as IT/Digital business analyst with end to end implementation experience in custom built application development. Experience in logistics functional domain is desirable
