About The Job:
With limited supervision and direction from management, plans and evaluates complex existing systems and makes recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels.
Intermediate professional level role. Works on multiple products, activities, and projects as a project team member, and frequently as a project leader.
Works on complex tasks, projects, activities, or support issues that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and has expertise in several products/systems.
May coach junior technical staff.
5+ years of IT experience.

Essential Job Function:
Under limited supervision from management, provide third level operational support and engineering of the KeyBank's OpenShift infrastructure and platform.
Work on complex tasks, projects, activities, or support issues that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and has expertise in several products/systems.
Interface with vendors as well as other Key Technology & Operations teams to maintain and support the environment
Support the teams responsible for packaging, testing, and deployment of security tools, end user software, and business applications.
Perform product evaluation, selection and integration responsibilities.
Develop and enforce technology standards. Develop white papers and deliver presentations to management.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgment.
Manage and design distributed platforms.
Produce service levels consistent with current business needs and future requirements.
Ensure the control, reliability, performance, and security of all distributed platforms and client devices.
Establish standards and guidelines.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal clients.
Escalate issues and problems to senior team members and management as required.
Support and coach the enterprise service desk and field support in effectively supporting KeyBank's workforce.
Take part in rotating 24 by 7 on-call responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
5+ years minimum experience in an enterprise computing environment utilizing Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Proven success at designing and maintaining RHEL 5, 6 & 7.
5+ years experience with server virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, RHEV).
General experience developing scripts and automation to drive business value and efficiency.
4 year degree or equivalent experience.
Environment administration (building, patching, securing, maintaining and troubleshooting)
Ability to work independently as well as to lead/guide small groups
Ability to create technical documentation for peers and junior engineers
Ability to translate technical concepts through communication and documentation to individuals
Display composure during demanding situations in addition to day to day activities.
