As a DevOps engineer, in Identity and Access management group, you must thrive in a continuous changing technical environment and be a collaborative & transparent team member. You’ll own and promote the DevOps activities inside our team, take part in our support activities, working closely with other developers, architects and DevOps engineers in helping us achieve the highest levels of reliability, performance and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the subject matter expert for the planning and implementation of the non functional requirements to ensure system availability, scalability, performance, monitoring, alerting and efficient incident troubleshooting
- Act as the go to person for any production issue, troubleshoot and escalate as needed and monitor until successful resolution. Communicate status with the team and stakeholders.
- Participate in the Support teams rotations (including weekends)
- Promote best practices for our CI/CD processes
- Build and maintain monitoring for all aspects of infrastructure and the platform and implement Alerting mechanism using cloud native solutions
- Maintain end-to-end security ensuring that we meet best practices standards
- Keep up-to-date with emerging cloud technology trends, especially around DevOps
- Extreme collaboration within our teams – Canada, US and India
- Ongoing participation in Scrum team, and an embrace of an agile work model. This includes collaboration with other Software Engineers, Test Automation Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners and Scrum Masters
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred - a must
- Minimum of 2 years experience in DevOps engineering with hands on experience in cloud technologies
- Highly skilled in Unix/Linux and knowledge (exposure to RHEL)
- Building/operating cloud native applications and services on AWS (preferred) or Azure
- Experience or knowledge of identity access and management standards such as: OAuth, OIDC and SAML
- Experience or knowledge of Container technology such as Docker, Kubernetes and Istio service mesh
- Must have experience in automation for CI/CD (either Git /Jenkins / CloudFormation / TerraForm, …)
- Experience or knowledge of Distributed logging: ELK, DataDog, SumoLogic, CloudWatch
- Team player with a can do attitude
