Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM Cloud File Service supports data analytics, video rendering, genomics analysis, web serving, and content management for example. Required Professional and Technical Expertise

  • BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years professional experience in commercial or web-scale system software development and delivery.
  • Proficiency in a modern programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java, Go or Python.
  • Understanding of operating system fundamentals (Linux or Windows).
  • Understanding of distributed computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of network, file protocols like NFS and Samba, distributed, asynchronous, and concurrent programming.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.
