The Citco Software Group (CSG) is newly-created internal development shop for Citco technology that will be developed as cloud-native applications and delivered as Software-as-a-Service.  The Citco Software Group will provide Technology, Data and Services to our clients to help improve their own business and technology allowing them to focus on their core business.  The Citco Software Group has combined business and technical expertise into a unified organization to deliver superior software to the alternative investment industry. 

About the Role:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working as part of a cross-functional product team and will be responsible for designing and implementing end to end CI/CD pipelines, test automation, infrastructure automation and configuration activities.

Job Duties in Brief:

  • Design and implement end to end CI/CD Delivery pipelines for infrastructure and applications

  • Set up and troubleshoot AWS environments

  • Design, build, test, and deploy highly scalable and resilient cloud-based infrastructure

  • Contribute in the architecting and implementation of cloud-based solutions

  • Write test automation scripts such as integration tests, performance tests

  • Implement logging and monitoring solutions

  • Perform code reviews

  • Travel occasionally to otherlocations for business.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

  • 10+ years in IT or Software Engineering including2+ years in AWS cloud environment

  • Minimum 5years of DevOps experience

  • Experience with AWS Core Services: EC2, ECS, ELB, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, CodeBuild, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, IAM

  • Experience in setting up and troubleshooting AWS production environments

  • Experience in designing, building, testing, and deploying highly scalable and resilient cloud-based infrastructure

  • Experience designing and implementing end to end CI/CD Delivery pipelines

  • Programming Languages: Python, Java, Node JS, C++ - Highly proficient in at least 1

  • Configuration management using CloudFormation, Ansible, AWS Config, OpsWorks

  • Practical knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, Selenium, JUnit, Mocha

  • Code management and versioning using Git

  • Advanced hands-on skills operating in Linux and Windows 

  • Proven knowledge of application architecture, networking, security, reliability and scalability concepts

  • Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of software design principles and patterns; Successful delivery of long duration and high complexity software projects

  • Business experience: Prior experience in financial services and alternative investments a plus

  • Design: Expertise with Microservices architecture, Domain Driven Design concepts, Cloud Application Design patterns and frameworks (for e.g. service discovery, circuit breaker, and 12 factor apps).

  • SDLC: Expertise with Agile development methodologies; scrum leadership a plus; Lead code reviews;

  • Containers: Expertise with Container and Container Management frameworks. (for e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm) and Container based PaaS offerings

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the following competencies: Creativity, technical analysis, and problem solving, communication, multitasking and client service.

  • Must be self-motivated and driven. Strong ability to work with in house resources and vendors

  • Comfortable with code reviews
