    Responsibilities:

    • Developing and supporting tools to improve the efficiency of the CI/CD process. Investigate, debug and resolve build and test issues, coordinating branch strategies, and the overall management of the automated build and test system
    • Build and Deliver our development, early access and general next Generation SAOS releases; interacting with multiple teams, such as Engineering, Support, Corporate IT, Product Management, Documentation, etc.
    • SCM support: branch management, merge conflict resolution, setting up processes and policies
    • Assist teams with change management (e.g., adding new platforms, compiler updates, or operating systems changes).
    • Systems Infrastructure: Troubleshooting server and system related issues on multi-platform environment as needed to support the daily build and continue build infrastructure
    • Managing build systems: Monitor health of builds, root cause analysis of failed unit tests, automated any outliers to improve continuous integration, discover/understand/eliminate bottles

     

     General Activities:

    The dev-ops Engineer will be an evangelist for good software engineering practices; to continuously improve speed, efficiency and scalability of the build and test systems; work across functional (development/testing, deployment, systems/infrastructure) and project teams to ensure continuous operation of build, test systems; automate wherever feasible and ensuring smoot CI/CD process.

    Collaboration with stakeholders:

    Engineers may develop a range of products including device drivers, patches, operating system modifications, EDI routines, graphics modules, etc. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a projectWork is independent and collaborative in nature.  Provides regular updates to manager on project/account status.

    Areas of impact:

    You will be part of the team responsible for building, releasing, automating and configuring changes through all stages of the build and release cycle.

    Experience :

    • 3-5 years of DevOps/build and CI/CD release engineering experience
    • Experience with SCM tools such as Git
    • Experience with Branch management
    • Good understanding of SW lifecycle
    • Strong communication skill with cross functional teams
    • Strong skill on scripting such as python, shell/bash script and perl  (good to know c)
    • Good understanding on Linux/Unix System
    • Experience on infrastructure automation tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo or TeamCity
    • Good understanding about Git, bitbucket, Yocto or other Linux build distributions systems
