We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join our team that focuses on designing and supporting distributed systems at scale. Our team is at the center of the full software stack here at Canary, providing you with exposure to a variety of technologies and engineering disciplines.
What You'll Be Up To:
Automating software integration including testing, building, packaging, and deployment.
Designing and developing systems alongside other software engineering disciplines including: computer vision, embedded, mobile, and data engineering.
Developing and performing unit and integration testing as well as supporting test environments.
Troubleshooting and providing solutions for system configurations.
Improving development and integration process tools.
Supporting production: providing production support on released software, including participating in a rotation of on-call engineers to provide 24x7 system coverage
What You'll Need To Have:
A passion for software development with proficiency in at least one software language is a must.
At least 2+ years experience within a DevOps-type role.
Advanced knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python preferred).
Working knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases.
Advanced knowledge of Linux is required.
Previous hands-on experience of at least one web/cloud service (AWS preferred).
Development using source control.
Enthusiastic and optimistic mindset.
Thrive in a start-up style environment.
