Kforce is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for our client's Web Portals Department. Job location is in beautiful LODO Denver near Coors Field and Union Station. Team environment is a fantastic agile workspace environment, engineered for collaboration, right along the Cherry Creek trail. The Web Portals team occupies a unique, strategic role within Company with a large degree of autonomy in architecting and building Web portal, Online Video, application and B2B solutions. In addition to leadership around traditional Web platforms, this group also performs pioneering work in cross-platform video services to set-top boxes, networked media appliances and mobile Web applications. The solutions developed by this group are deployed to audiences more than 10M unique users per month. Essential Job Functions:

  • The selected candidate will develop and automate the application configurations and infrastructure supporting the strategic customer websites of Company
  • Apply industry and AEM/CQ5 best practices in architecting, deploying and maintaining application and platform configuration, which support the company's mission of connecting people and businesses with information, entertainment and each other in ways that are simple and easy
  • Monitor industry trends and advocate for Web administration and AEM/CQ5 best practices to maintain and enhance the product's leadership position in the industry

Requirements

  • 7+ years working in a UNIX/Linux environment
  • 5+ years expertise administering Web application servers (Apache Tomcat, VMWare)
  • 5+ years of operational support experience for development, QA, and production environments
  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)/CQ5
  • Demonstrated experience in DevOps automation tools, such as Puppet, Chef, Docker, Vagrant, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with Openstack/AWS cloud
  • Demonstrated ability to administer and optimize dynamic Web applications at scale (>10M monthly unique visitors)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of high availability environments and geographic redundancy
  • Demonstrated experience administering Java Web technologies (Servlets, MVC Frameworks, Continuous Integration, Git, Caching, Compression, Object-Relational Mapping)
  • Demonstrated experience with Web analytics, real time monitoring and alerting, performance
  • Demonstrate expertise in designing and administering scalable Web infrastructure, including: Web servers, application servers, virtual machines, switches, firewalls and load-balancers
  • Demonstrate experience with high volume, long-life projects, balancing feature velocity, long-term maintenance costs, and operational effort
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate with cross-functional teams from Development to System Operations and Systems Engineering
  • Demonstrate ability to lead with architectural recommendations for new situations such as integration with search and CMS platforms
