The candidate will be leading a team of engineers responsible for E-shifters, and chassis related components that include; brake, clutch, accelerator pedal sensor and switches, ride height and wheel speed sensors. They will also consult with Chassis Mechanical team on the design and validation of electromechanical system that would include polys-table shifters, Active Sway bar and Auto tuned Mass Modules. The work would include understanding the systems and functions of the components as well as the release and validation of the systems and components. Development Lead is also responsible for working with the team to publish quote packages, specifications and manage processes within the electromechanical team. This will be critical to the mentoring and technical development and training of the group.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited or equivalent program

Minimum 8years of electricalengineeringexperience in the automotive industry

Familiar with the process to release, develop and validate automotive electronics

Good communication and presentation skills

Green or Black Belt DFSS or Reactive DFSS certification

Candidate will need to manage and delegate assignments related to several different technologies. DL position must be organized and efficient to allow for the oversight of several projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Leadership experience leading small engineering team or teams

Proficient in computer programs that support vehicle level analysis, communication and presentations and mechanical design. e.g. Vehicle diagnostic (Canalyzer), EXCEL, PowerPoint, SharePoint data base management Analytical tools for system level validation and knowledge of the ElectricalEngineering Development Plan or similar development processes
