The DevOps Engineer will work collaboratively across teams to build and support continuous delivery model.


The DevOps Engineer will work collaboratively across teams to build and support continuous delivery model.

  • Automate and streamline our operations and processes.
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our Dev, Test, Stage and production environments.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, tune and support JAVA Application Server & Apache Web Server
  • Configure container resources – manual/automated
  • Setup, and manage load balancing, clustering, failover.
  • Install/setup/administer supporting tools (e.g., JIRA, , GIT, Confluence)
  • Deploy applications to production and non-production environments (manual/automated).
  • Troubleshoot application & web server issues related to the platform.
  • Create support tickets and work with vendors as needed.
  • Participate in On call rotation to assure 24x7 availability of sys
  • Manage the daily operation of JAVA Application Server.
  • Monitor resource utilization, including CPU, memory, and disk utilization. Report on system utilization and plan/implement recommended maintenance as required.
  • Perform impact analysis for appropriate tasks.
  • Participate in the design and configuration of secure access to server resources.
  • Apply and promote patches.


Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent through a combination of education and work experience.
  • Two years experience in system analysis, design and programming experience.
  • Experience in client server and web environments, relational database technology, and development of interface software.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated and effective time management, organizational, prioritization, and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated decision making, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to develop creative solutions to assigned projects.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with limited supervision.


  • UNIX/Linux admin – specifically experience with Bash shell & scripting, crontab.
  • Light Java, Groovy, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience (preferable) working with enterprise services.
  • Experience automating and leveraging source control systems, such as GitHub, SVN, or BitBucket.
  • Hands on experience with infrastructure tools, such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery with Jenkins, Bamboo, or other tools.
  • Knowledge of orchestration technologies and their benefits, such as Kubernetes, Mesos, or Swarm.
  • Cloud computing concepts using AWS, Azure, Google, or OpenStack.
  • Knowledge of containers, experience with Docker a plus.
  • Desire to build automation testing for all facets of testing.
  • Good understanding of firewalls, networks, and communications (proxies, load balancers).
  • An innate and overwhelming desire to, “make things better.”
