We are looking for Desktop Support for our client in Nashua, NH / Hudson, NH / Merrimack, NH / Lexington, MA / Burlington, MA

Job Title: Desktop Support

Job Location: Nashua, NH / Hudson, NH / Merrimack, NH / Lexington, MA / Burlington, MA

Job Type: Contract – 12 Months / Contract to Hire / Direct Hire

Job Description:

  • Desktop Service ticket resolution
  • Break-fix Incidents and Service Requests
  • Respond to work in ticket queue and complete ticket documentation in BMC-Remedy IT Workflow Management System
  • Support PC refresh/install activities in Nashua area
  • Respond and resolve end user Smart Card account and access issues based on desktop triage training materials provided working components to meet personal computer needs
  • Support computer users with installation of hardware/software and net
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with computer systems in order to maintain proper functioning; resolves issues including contacting and assisting vendors
  • Interfaces with IT technicians throughout the NH area, regarding IT equipment shipments and deployments.
  • Diagnoses and resolves moderate end-user hardware/software problems including remote access software
  • Participates in the deployment of new hardware/software platforms
  • Performing OS system re-builds when warranted

Required Skills:

  • BASIC knowledge of computer hardware, software, and terminology
  • BASIC knowledge of computer systems and local area networks
  • BASIC computer skills
  • BASIC organizational skills
  • BASIC problem solving skills
  • Must have good communication skills /customer interface
  • Minimum 1 -2 years’ experience in working in the IT Field Service role

Certification Requirements:

  • MS Windows Certification – “Nice to have”
