Tait Towers is a world leader in progressive layout and manufacturing of first-class staging and surroundings for the live enjoyment enterprise. We focus on Staging, computerized Rigging and control for live performance traveling, permanent install and spectaculars.

Reason: while presented with an ‘detail’ the position of a clothier II is to recognize the parameters andrelationships and to reach at a design answer up to the requirements set forth by way of Tait Towers, whileconsidering fee effectiveness and efficiency. The clothier II is also worried in the making plans of their dailywork so each day they are working closer to achieving their layout milestones and cut-off dates.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Take rough models, ideas, sketches, and/or concepts and become familiar with the project
  • Identify and insert any and all known items required for the project
  • Study different concepts or approaches to fulfill the design of the project and determine a designdirection
  • Begin to flush out the concept by continuing to add detail
  • Manage the project in terms of file/folder structure
  • Maintain an updated master, simple, and exploded drawing file in the root job folder
  • Manage and keep back-saves of all progress
  • Ensure projects are broken into appropriate sub-assemblies
  • Review for mistakes, crashes, and the functionality of the concept
  • When designing items, focus on the 20% of the design that will get production 80% of their work
  • Identify which parts of the design we can commit to and begin releasing to production
  • Funnel completed work to detailers and manage their progress until the project is complete
  • Formulate possible solutions to most problems
  • Ability to make judgment calls with regard to details and issues


  • Four year Design, Theatrical, or EngineeringDegree, preferred
  • An internship and/or work experience in a fast-paced environment, also preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, required
  • Strong organizational skills, required
  • Must be self-motivated and have a sense of urgency
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, preferred (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
  • Knowledge of Inventor, preferred
