Who are we looking for?

You're the coach of the design team and the creative shepherd of the Nike brand. You're extraordinary at design direction and the craft of design and are an expert in multiple design competencies. You lead multiple teams and play a big role in hiring. You know the importance of developing our culture – which includes giving reviews and guiding career growth.

You can definitely push pixels, but you spend more time creating guidelines and briefs, influencing design direction and strategy, and making sure everyone has the right tools. You're loved by your cross-functional partners and know how to get stakeholders aligned. You have a knack for solving complex problems with high-caliber work and know how to align design strategy to business objectives.

Who will you work with?

The Nike Digital Design Flagship Team is redefining Nike's digital marketplace to deliver innovative consumer experiences. Our team is responsible for delivering-from vision to execution-a unified, premium experience across and the Nike App that removes friction and creates brand distinction. We partner with a variety of product and engineering teams as we design the core consumer journeys and user experiences for membership, discovery, shopping and omni-channel seamlessly across platforms.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Uphold and define Nike's distinct design language while exploring how it could look in the future
  • Guide and inspire cutting edge creative work with your team of designers
  • Oversee design efforts for projects, assign work to team members, and approve it for Creative Review
  • Use data and insights to envision the future of Nike products and experiences
  • Share the team's work and strategy across the full design studio and the broader organization



  • 10+ years agency, in-house or start-up design experience and interactive work
  • A Bachelor's degree in design, advertising, art direction or a related field
  • Experience managing multiple teams and multiple designers on large-scale projects
  • Expert-level knowledge of current trends, technology, communications, experience, art and other design influences
  • A passion for innovation and technology with a solid understanding of digital tools, trends, and infrastructure
