Job Description:

Global Services Engineering (GSE) is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as Deputy for our F119 Military Engines Repair Teams. This position requires leading a team of engineers in a distributed organization supporting PW’s Military customer base. The Deputy Repair Development Manager interfaces directly with PW Military Program Directors, PW Technical Leaders, and Program and Technical leaders within US Military organizations. Additionally the Deputy collaborates with the GSE Leadership team to determine the strategic path for their repair team, and provides leadership to enable the team to successfully execute on that path.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing and assisting with managing an engineering team responsible for the design, validation, and demonstration of military repairs, with associated tooling.
  • Supporting all aspects of military repair delivery, including schedule, cost, quality, and successful execution.
  • Managing the team’s finances by creating task budgets, task execution plans, and reporting EV results.
  • Leading outsourcing firms in support of team goals, and assisting with hiring for the team. Other responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the Market Feedback Analysis (MFA) process for PW internal and external customers.
  • Driving continuous improvement activities and robust root cause investigations to ensure GSE and PW continue to deliver World Class customer and shareholder value.
  • Coach/guide/mentor employees to ensure appropriate proficiency advancement and employee satisfaction. This position is similar to a Program Engineer or Project Engineer role.

10% travel may be required for this position.


Qualification:

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering is required.
  • 5 years engineering experience is required.
  • 2 years of IPT leadership required.
  • US Citizenship is required due to government program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.
  • MS or MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent team leadership, communication skills, and customer focus.
  • Project Engineering experience.
  • Experience with earned value management system tracking on military programs is helpful.
  • Independent ability to drive tasks forward
