Chegg is looking for a Deputy General Counsel, Corporate, Securities and Compliance to join our strong and growing legal department. This position will report to the General Counsel and will provide strategic, business and legal support with respect to corporate governance, securities compliance and regulation, finance, M&A and various broader corporate matters.
The Deputy General Counsel will help Chegg achieve strategic goals, manage legal risk, and preserve the legal and ethical integrity of the Company. The Deputy General Counsel will be involved in complex and challenging issues across all facets of the business in an effort to support Chegg’s growth and development both domestically and internationally.
The ideal candidate should be able to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly growing legal and business environment. The ideal candidate should be able to operate independently and be a self-starter, while also working collaboratively and proactively with the legal team, finance and tax teams, C-team, Board of Directors, across all business units and with external stakeholders. Additionally, exceptional judgement, business acumen, discretion, communication skills, the ability to empathize, and strong relationship-building skills are a must.
