Job Description

Key Relationships: DOE Employee Unions, Office of Labor Relations (OLR), and Senior Cabinet. Works closely with top DOE managers, labor/legal staff and human resources staff to ensure adherence to terms of labor contract by advising on day-to-day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours and working conditions.

Responsibilities

In consultation with the Chief Executive of Labor Policy, performs the following responsibilities:

Labor Policy and Collective Bargaining Strategy

  • Formulates and recommends policies to the Chief Executive of Labor Policy governing staff and labor relations for DOE employees, including creating or adjusting strategies at specific schools to achieve system objectives in accord with contractual requirements.
