Key Role:

Assist the team lead with deployed mission management, project and task tracking, and day-to-day operations as a deployed IT operations lead. Ensure network engineers make a router change across all deployed missions to track a systems change request through the organization's enterprise change management processes. Review satellite access authorization (SAA) and gateway access authorization (GAA) documents to verify correctness and plan for renewal. Provide an in depth understanding of deployed communications supporting real-world priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with collaborating with satellite controllers, network engineers, communications security (COMSEC) custodians, Windows administrators, and non-technical end-users

-Experience with property tracking and accountability via hand receipts during kit deployment and user rotations

-Experience with maintaining situational awareness of all tactical mobile communication packages, location, their network status, current operator and team, host unit, and mission impact

-Ability to collaborate in weekly meetings with users and teams to maintain visibility on future operation planning, personnel rotation, mission changes, and issues or concerns from teams, leadership, and customers

-Ability to interface with combat command planners to resolve issues

-TS/SCI Clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the satellite communications (SATCOM) manager on SATCOM planning and submitting satellite access requests (SARs) and gateway access requests (GARs) to provide network connectivity

-Experience with engineering with JIST and SDB-MT

-Experience with the management, issuance, and operations of DoD enhanced mobile satellite services (EMSS) satellite phones and personnel trackers

-Ability to lead procurement efforts following organization-approved processes

-Ability to track deployed IT budget usage throughout the year, track life cycle progress, and fiscal year-end of year close-out efforts
