This position actively maintains an effective and balanced dental clinic, following state guidelines of prevention, dental health education, treatment, and technical assistance to professional and non-professional individuals/organization/agencies. participates in health fairs or community events on weekends as requested 3-4 times a year.
Education Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Dental Medicine or Dental Surgery. Licensure by Georgia Board of Dentistry. Courses and/or certificates in peridontia, endodontia, oral surgery, and oral manifestations of HIV disease. Dentist requires:DEA Number, Medicaid Number & Bilingual in Spanish is preferred for some designated Mercy Care Locations. Previous work in community health setting or with indigent populations an advantage.
Experience Requirements: At least one yearexperience in dental practice
Job Knowledge: Proficiency in prevention, dental health education, treatment, and technical assistance. Knowledge regarding special oral health needs of persons with infectious diseases.
