The Dealer Network Development Manager will analyze regional dealer development opportunities and implement effective strategies that ensure proper brand representation in identified markets.
The Dealer Network Development Manager is also responsible for dealer development activities including increasing dealer sales performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, and retail registration effectiveness. This is a role designed for a sales professional who is in the early stages of their career. There is no previous network experience required for the role, but past field sales experience is critical. This position is ideal for a current top-performer in field automotive sales who is ready for the next challenge in their career.
The Dealer Network Development Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Network Development in a Nationwide Business Center.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Proactively work with the dealer operators to develop their business, improve their sales performance and their customer experienceprocesses
  • Implementation of new franchise agreements and ensuring all required documents are complete and accurate
  • Implementation of dealer performance upgrades through facility expansions, relocations, renovations and consultation
  • Counsel with new vehicle dealerships to adopt and maintain a prototypical facility design
  • Present and counsel new vehicle dealers on performance metrics such as profitability, sales and customer experience metrics

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in automotive OEM sales (direct to dealer) or network development
  • Ability to deliver premier dealers in planned markets and identify desirable dealer investors
  • Experience in the franchise network aspect of the auto industry, retail dealer operations and dealer financials
  • Understand franchise law and terminology, lease/purchase agreements and realty functions
  • Proven skills to analyze dealer representation in the marketplace
  • Creatively think to build the network, develop sound network market proposals, strong dealer negotiation abilities and follow through
  • Strong leadership and communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Detail oriented with excellent project management and organizational skill set
  • Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to relocate for this role or promotional opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing, or similar discipline
  • At least one year of automotive field sales experience in a major metropolitan market
  • Any field sales experience with an OEM
  • Bring creative ideas, solutions and translate them into actions
  • Candidates with network development or market representation experience with other automotive OEM’s
  • Show intensity and commitment in daily activities
