The successful candidate will provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Test Science Department (RD-TS). Overall duties involve database architecture development and programming support for a highly technical research and development (R&D) programs related to counter WMD test programs. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate the capability translate client requirements and guidance into a functional database that supports the fiscal accountability and tracking of division test programs. - The candidate will function primarily as the division database developer and manager working directly with the RD-TSI Program Integration Division staff and elements of the TS team. - This includes working with RD-TS division chiefs and RD-TS test team members to provide database development and management capabilities to support Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) programs requiring RD-TS test teams to execute test, experiments, and demonstrations. - Provide database applications through architecture development, programming, design documentation, troubleshooting, and security. - Provide database application capabilities to track the financial information process from incoming funding sources through obligations and expenditures. - Provide database application capabilities to track details of various test programs, contracts, Government Purchase Card (GPC) actions, employee travel expenses, and payroll. - Maintain database results by setting and enforcing standards and controls. - Prepare for database expansion by studying plans and requirements; advising senior management; coordinating design and programming. - Maintain database performance by troubleshooting problems. - Secure database by developing policies, procedures, and controls. - Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to a client's specifications that are visually appealing, and feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.
- Current/active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
- 5 years of relevant experience of enterprise level database management and website design.
- At least 5 years’ experience in DoD acquisition and program financial management.
- Fluency in MS Office products is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science
