We are currently seeking a Database Architect to join our team in Bethesda, Maryland (US-MD), United States (US).

Duties/Responsibilities:

-Defines file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for Enterprise applications

-Designs database architecture and build out the physical environments to support all application development efforts

-Participates in and/or lead production troubleshooting, testing, optimization, performance tuning, and process automation efforts

-Experienced in SQL tuning and query optimization tools such as SQL Trace, DBMS_PROFILER

-Experienced with data replication and data migrations tools and techniques

-Experienced in building custom stored procedures and triggers to automatically populate different tables

-Demonstrated experience in working with application developers in troubleshooting code and tracing the code to find out the issues

-Experience with large databases with high transaction volume

-Working knowledge of software version control concepts and change management processes

-Working knowledge of data modeling concepts

-Working knowledge of automated job scheduling

-Understanding of authentication and authorization security concepts

-Understanding of all phases of the SDLC

-Demonstrated expertise in change management and version control practices.

Basic Qualifications:

- Required Certifications: MS SQL, DBA

- Minimum of 7 years experience in Cloud Database Services, Cloud Data Security and Compliance, Cloud Data Backup, Cloud Storage

- Minimum of 7 years experience in MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, Data Warehouse, PostgreSQL; SQL Tuning and Query Optimization Tools

- Applicants selected will be subject to a Public Trust background security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.

- Must have 3 consecutive year of US residency.
