Primary Purpose of Job
American Savings Bank (ASB) is seeking a Database Administrator – Lead for its Technology Department in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Position is responsible for the development, administration, security, performance and recoverability of the Bank’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), related data marts, Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and related systems. Provide administration and SQL support for operational databases. Provides indirect leadership, mentoring, and skill development to other teammates within Data Management.
Major Job Accountabilities
At a minimum, the qualified candidate will have: a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related computer or engineering field AND seven (7) years’ experience in: designing, implementing, administering and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases; and ETL development using SSIS or Informatica. A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related computer or engineering field AND two (2) years’ experience in: designing, implementing, administering and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases; and ETL development using SSIS or Informatica may be substituted for the preceding requirements. Additionally, will have skills in the following technologies gained through at least two (2) years’ work experience or through a university level course of study in which the technology/skill were taught: database design, security, backup, recovery, tuning and troubleshooting; and security concepts including authentication, authorization, Active Directory, Kerberos and SQL server auditing and logging.
