Job Title: Data Custodian/Data Steward
Location: Peoria, IL 616298
This position joins the responsibilities of a Data Custodian and a Data Steward. Data Custodians are responsible for the safe custody, transport, storage of the data along with adhereing to strict access controls and implementation of business rules. Data Stewards are responsible for utilizing an organization''s data governance processes to ensure fitness of data elements - both the content and metadata. Data stewards have a specialist role that incorporates processes, policies, guidelines and responsibilities for administering organizations'' entire data in compliance with policy and/or regulatory obligations. .
Primary responsibly will be to execute the access controls and security features established for the Caterpillar Digital Data Warehouse (CDDW). Secondary responsibilities include working with other Data Stewards to investigate, recommend and implement data solutions. Additional responsibilities: Audit controls, Adhoc reports, team members on approved projects.
? Access processes have been built over the last couple of years and have been verified by multiple audits. Review, coordinate, approve access requests with multiple Data Domain Owners.
? This position requires a 4 yeardegree in the IT field from an accredited college
? Communication skills both verbal and written presentation skills Ability to multitask several requests at one time Excellent attention to detail
