The Pharmaceutical Strategic Business Manager (PSBM) will interact closely with senior management levels in the area of Clinical and Real World Data analytics as well as the growing activities in support of Personalized Healthcare. The PSBM is responsible for exploring, scoping, planning and supporting the successful implementation of solutions by providing business analysis, best practice research, detailed requirements definition and user acceptance facilitation.

We are looking for an individual with strong customer focus, experience in working in global, multi-cultural environments, with a structured working approach and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Your Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to work independently on complex questions and make decisions at the program level
  • Act as deputy of the team head at our primary location
  • Participate and conduct strategic / exploratory workshops to identify/plan/execute innovation experiments and to contribute to robust roadmaps supporting the business strategy
  • Collaborate with business and informatics stakeholders to lead business case development for new initiatives as well as business case tracking for completed initiatives
  • Coordination and Communication on project plan/costs to senior business and IT stakeholders is a key task
  • Plan early stage project efforts; specifically, requirements gathering, assessment and scoping, and project initiation and funding
  • Plan and facilitate workshops and end-user working sessions intended to surface requirements and validate designs
  • Take active role in preparing initiatives for portfolio committee and approvals at appropriate project milestones
  • Collaborate with other PSBMs across functions and regions to identify and address business problems and opportunities, evaluate alternative informatics technologies and research industry best practices and emerging trends. Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Developers, and Designers on scope, solutions, constraints, and risks
  • Analyze document current and future business process models
  • Take responsibility in ensuring the solution meets the customer needs
  • Support operational services teams in ensuring continued business value realization and business adoption
  • Collaborate with PSBMs within function and across functions to continuously harmonize and further develop skills and working practices specific to the PSBM community within the organization

 You must have experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry, with in-depth business analysis in the industry and have the ability to strategize, recommend and implement innovative solutions that will meet the short and long term needs of Biometrics.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Domain knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and clinical lifecycle specifically is a must
  • Typically requires BA or BS, post-graduate coursework, and 12-15years of related experience (life science, informatics, business or equivalent). 6+ years BSA general experience
  • 5+ years business systems analysis and support experience with various types of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
  • Experience with medical research and/or data analytics and reporting is highly desirable
  • Ability to rapidly understand business requirements and communicate business expectations to cross-functional technology development teams. Develop advanced technological ideas and guide their development into a final solution
  • Ability to work independently on complex business problems, provide innovative solutions, and make decisions that can have a cross-functional impact
  • Ability to take on responsibility for leading cross functional collaborative team environments
  • Act as team lead of functional group. Able to represent manager at meetings and make basic decisions. Is recognized as a domain expert by the business
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate complex information, issues, and potential solutions across the enterprise
  • Demonstrated focus on customer service and on-time delivery. Drive successful completion of major projects/programs across portfolios
  • Ability to learn new processes and new concepts, to define requirements and link technical concepts to business processes and interact across multiple portfolios, programs, or customer groups
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and report status at the enterprise level
  • Flexibility to travel for up to 25% of time including outside of home country
  • Flexibility to work outside normal working hours, to support global efforts
