Job Purpose

Dechra is an international specialist veterinary pharmaceuticals products business. Our expertise is in the development, manufacture, and sales and marketing of high quality products exclusively for veterinarians worldwide.

This role is responsible for the overall quality, timeliness and completeness of Customer Account and Sales data in Dechra North America’s (SFDC) instance. This individual will handle the day-to-day activities of cleansing/loading data and addressing end user support issues as they relate to the quality and completeness of the data. Additionally, the successful candidate will work closely with the rest of the Commercial support team to implement more efficient and effective processes for integrating and enriching data within our SFDC instance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and monitor weekly/monthly batch processes to ensure timely data loads/updates while minimizing the impact to end users.
  • Act as primary resource responsible for ongoing quality and maintenance of customer account data and resolving related support cases.
  • Identify, design and develop enhancements to processes for staging, cleansing and standardizing customer invoice data from multiple sources and publishing the data to SFDC.
  • Work with SFDC Admin, Business Analyst and external vendors to understand SFDC data maintenance challenges, and develop programmatic solutions to minimize duplication/overlap and maintain an overall high level of data quality and completeness.
  • Support Business Analyst and SFDC Admin in identifying/flagging program eligible invoices/line items to facilitate advanced reporting and auditing of Distributor rebate programs, Sales Rep SPIFFs and other Sales/Marketing related incentive programs.
  • Configure and maintain databases and processes to transform relatively large data sets into aggregated/summarized subsets for further use/analysis by a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Evaluate/recommend ETL and batch processing related technologies/tools with native integration to SFDC, SQL Server and variety of other data sources.
  • Apply sound data modelling and batch processing techniques to ensure solutions meet integration and performance expectations
  • Create and maintain appropriate documentation, including a data dictionary, for all warehouse data, ETL and batch processes.
  • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

3+ years’ experience with data operations, quality and/or administration projects

3+ years’ of SQL Server or similar DBMS experience, specifically writing SQL queries and stored procedures

Experience designing ETL solutions for data migration or data integration

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Data Science related field a plus

Knowledge and Experience

Microsoft SQL Server database modelling, development and management experience

Expertise and experience in the use of ETL development tools (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, Dell Boomi)

Proficient with MS Excel

Hyperion, Oracle database and/or PL-SQL, and experience with preferred
