Data Management Senior Analyst

This role is a valued member of the Corporate Accounting Data and Reporting team. As such they have the opportunity to contribute to Data Management, Process Improvement, and Connected Reporting efforts. The Corporate Accounting Data and Reporting team is a group of accounting and finance professionals with a passion for using technology to build end-to-end touchless value streams and transforming how Intel's Corporate Accounting and ultimately our Finance organization gets work done. Our mission is to enable real-time decision useful financial information thru effective Data Management, Process Optimization, and Connected Reporting. We are currently focused on, but not limited to, improving Cost and Inventory accounting.
The primary responsibility of this Sr. Analyst role is data stewardship for both Core (or Master) and Business Reference Data using our SAP master data governance for Finance module (MDG-F) and Profisee data management software. Specifically, this individual will provide oversight and process expertise while designing and maintaining our policies for access, usage and quality in subject areas such as: Chart of Account, Company Code, Reporting Hierarchy (Profit/Cost Centers), Currency and Project IDs. In addition, they will support mapping and cross-reference hierarchies for various business needs such as: Fixed Asset transaction type, Treasurybalance sheet review accounts, Cost categorization, and job/role classifications. This person will be responsible for engaging with business users to understand their business requirements and use our data management tools to create an optimal data foundation to enable the Corporate Accounting vision of providing real-time, decision useful information for decision making.
The secondary focus of the role is as a manager of process improvement and connected reporting projects, utilizing ESSA (elimination, simplification, standardization, automation) to optimize the end-to-end close process to provide better decision useful information to management while enabling better work-life balance for finance. In this capacity the individual will establish and maintain the project operating structure, as well as set priorities for the team, working across organizational boundaries to ensure an inclusive work environment and holistic solution development while managing project performance and team accountability.
To be successful you will need to partner with management and other team members to establish and coordinate data governance goals based on integrating diverse business requirements to ensure efficient and effective processes and controls are in place to achieve optimal results for Intel.
