How This Role impacts Live Oak and its People
Help foster a data driven culture at Live Oak through training and maintaining a high degree of data quality.
What You’ll Do at Live Oak
Manage the information flow for Live Oak, including the integrity, efficiency, and availability of data.
Educate and train various departments on Data Governance.
Analyze and oversee strategies designed to enhance data reliability and minimize redundancies.
Providing project updates and reporting on progress on data quality and control remediation activities.
Supporting data governance and quality assurance activities.
Ability to communicate with project managers, projects owners and various stakeholder to present analysis in a concise and actionable way.
How You’ll Do It
Create and present training material for democratizing data governance at Live Oak.
Gather feedback on data governance and propose improvements and/or changes.
Be the spokesperson for Data Governance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Work with IT and Engineering to develop data quality standards.
Identify data trends and develop solutions to remedy any potential issues.
Suggest, create, implement, and enforce new data policies and practices.
Clean up records in Salesforce or other system as needed.
Develop visualizations to easily monitor data quality.
Perform data validation exercises when needed (after a migration, significant data movements, etc…)
Regularly performs ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
Interact with a variety of departments including Dev, Loan Operations, Deposit Operations, Credit and Marketing.
Communicate with Auditors and Examiners and be able to articulate well issues encountered and how they were resolved.
Maintain proper documentation as required for record retention purposes.
Required and Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or other related field.
Experience in Data Management and Data Governance
2+ related experience required.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Strong teamwork skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proficiency in R, Python, Julia or other Programming Language used for Data Science
Experience in Data Visualization Tools such as Tableau
Proficiency in Salesforce (custom objects, reports, dashboards)
Proficiency with Different Analytical Tools (Excel Power BI, RapidMiner, R, etc.)
Proficiency with Database Tools (Access, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
Valid through: 6/2/2021
$250K — $300K + $80K bonus + all benefits including stock *
